As a result of the training, the trainee should acquire knowledge in the following areas:
knowledge of the English language sufficient to enable proper functioning in the profession, i.e. in everyday situations, knowledge of maritime terminology; the use of the nautical English language register in communication in professional matters, rules of keeping ship documentation in the scope of duties of the watch officer. |

The aim of education is to teach foreign languages, in accordance with the principles of ensuring and improving knowledge of foreign languages, i.e. acquiring language and intercultural competences by students at the B2 level according to CEF. |

In the field of professional language, in accordance with the requirements of the STCW Convention, enabling the achievement of proficiency in the use of the nautical register of the English language, to the extent necessary to perform future professional work as a watch officer. |

Can use professional literature in the following areas: reading information from nautical publications, understanding the content of meteorological information and navigational warnings. He is able to integrate, evaluate, correctly interpret the obtained information, and on its basis draw conclusions and formulate opinions. |
