			| 1 | Knowledge of the construction and construction of ship hulls, ship stability, cargo chemistry, ship knowledge, protection of the marine environment. | 
Cele przedmiotu
			| 1 | As a result of the training, the trainee should acquire knowledge in the following areas:
cargo and cargo damage classification; codes relating to the transport of dangerous goods; problems related to the transport of selected loads, such as: grain, wood, coal, ore concentrates, heavy atypical items; terminology related to the containerized transport system; problems of the horizontal loading system of a ro-ro ship; issues related to the transportation of liquid cargo. | 
			| 2 | As a result of the training, the trainee should acquire the following skills:
reading the stick; risk assessment during handling and transport of dangerous goods; supervision of reloading works and preparation of cargo holds. | 
			| 3 | The aim of the course is to present the basic issues related to the operation of various types of ships based on international regulations, instructions and safety management systems | 
			| 4 | As a result of the training, the person should acquire knowledge in the following areas: - cargo classification and cargo damage;
- application of codes related to the transport of various types of cargo,
- problems related to the transport of selected loads,
- terminology related to the container transport system;
- the problem of the horizontal loading system of a ro-ro ship;
- issues related to the carriage of dry and liquid bulk cargo, - exchange of ballast water. |

			| EKP1 | Knowledge of procedures for safe handling, stowage & securing of cargoes & stores, incl. dangerous, hazardous & harmful substances & liquids.    Basic knowledge of & precautions to observe in connection with particular types of cargo & identification of IMDG labelling.  Knowledge of the effect of cargo, incl. heavy lifts, on the seaworthiness & stability of the ship.   Knowledge of safe handling stowage& securing of cargoes incl. dangerous, hazardous & harmful cargoes & their effect on the safety of life & of the ship.   Knowledge of the effects on trim & stability of cargoes & cargo operations.   Stowage & securing of cargoes on board ships, incl. cargo-handling gear & securing & lashing equipment.   Loading & unloading operations, with special regard to the transport of cargoes identified in the Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage & Securing.    Carriage of dangerous, hazardous & harmful cargoes, precautions during loading & unloading & care during the voyage. | 
			| EKP2 | Knowledge of & ability to apply relevant international regulations, codes & standards concerning the safe handling & transport of cargoes.    Ability to establish procedures for safe cargo handling in accordance with the provision of the relevant instruments such as IMDG Code, IMSBC Code, MARPOL 73/78, Annexes & other relevant information.    International regulations, standards, codes & recommendation on the carriage of dangerous cargoes, incl. the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, & the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code. | 
			| EKP3 | Use of stability & trim diagrams & stress-calculating equipment, incl. automatic data-based (ADB) equipment & knowledge of loading cargoes & ballasting in order to keep hull stress within acceptable limits. | 
			| EKP4 | Knowledge of the operational & design limitations of bulk carriers.    Ability to use all available shipboard data related to loading, care & unloading of bulk cargoes.    Knowledge of the limitations on strength of the vital constructional parts of a standard bulk carrier & ability to interpret given figures for bending moments & shear forces.    Ability to explain how to avoid the detrimental effects on bulk carriers of corrosion, fatigue & inadequate cargo handling. |
