Cele przedmiotu

As a result of the training, the trainee should acquire knowledge in the following areas:
elementary outline of knowledge in the field of maritime law necessary for the officer of the watch in all forms of ship operation; international conventions, regulations and recommendations relating to the duties directly performed by the ship and its crew, responsibilities of crew members; legal regulations related to the safety of the ship, crew, passengers and cargo, within the competence of the officer on watch. |

Can describe the process of shaping and creating maritime law and the scope of regulations. Can name international organizations dealing with maritime affairs. Explain their tasks and competences. |

He knows the issues related to the practice of sea shipping. Can explain and describe the essence of the ship's nationality, classification, maritime safety, labor law and protection of the marine environment. |

Can describe shipping as a transport activity. He knows the rights in rem on the ship, contracts for the carriage of cargo and the use of someone else's ship. He knows and is able to characterize the auxiliary services in sea shipping. |
