Gdynia Maritime Uniwersity realizes “Conducting safe cargo operations on selected types of tankers - Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator” project, SPINAKER programme, financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, non-competitive project entitled “Supporting the institutional capacity of Polish HEIs through the creation and implementation of international study programme” (Measure: 3.3 Internationalization of Polish higher education), specified in the application for co-financing of project No. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN16/18.

The aim of the project is to increase the internationalization of Gdynia Maritime University by developing and conducting Intensive International Education Programmes. The programme scope oincludes the implementation of two specialist courses:

1. “Chemical Cargo and Ballast handling Simulator – IMO Model Course 1.37”. The course will consist of 8 hours of online lectures and 20 hours onsite workshops.
2. “Oil Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator – IMO Model Course 2.06”. The course will consist of 8 hours of online lectures and 20 hours onsite workshops.

• The number of students who will take part in the entire programme scope of the Intensive International Education Programme is 40 (20 places per one training course).
• A student of the bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral’s degree in maritime sciences, with official confirmation from the university, may apply to participate in the Project.
• The participation in the Project is free of charge.
• The Participant may take part in only one training.
• All lectures will be carried out online in May 2023 (one Wednesday and Thursday 4 p.m.-8 p.m.).
• All workshops are planned to be carried out in a stationary form during one week on 14-18^th of June and 17-21^st of June 2023.
• Each participant qualified for taking part in on-campus workshops, after signing the Project Participants Agreement, will receive a scholarship in the amount of 4 000 PLN (about 830 Euro).
• GMU will transfer 50% of the scholarship to the student's bank account before arrival. The remaining part of the scholarship will be paid upon arrival in Gdynia.

Persons who are interested in participating in the Project will send scans of signed documents within the prescribed time limit via the email. After qualifying for the Project, the Candidate will send hard copies of completed documents to the Project Office, ul. Morska 81-87 81-225 Gdynia PL, before the first day of commencement of the training courses.

The recruitment lasts till 31.03.2023 r.

• Additional consent of the Project participant to personal data processing (Appendix 6),

Projekt “Prowadzenie bezpiecznych operacji ładunkowych na wybranych typach zbiornikowców” realizowany jest w ramach Programu SPINAKER, finansowanego przez Narodową Agencję Wymiany Akademickiej, z projektu pozakonkursowego nr POWR.03.03.00-00-PN16/18 pt. „Wsparcie zdolności instytucjonalnej polskich uczelni poprzez tworzenie i realizację międzynarodowych programów studiów” realizowanego w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Wiedza Edukacja Rozwój (dalej PO WER), III Oś priorytetowa „Szkolnictwo wyższe dla gospodarki i rozwoju”, Działanie 3.3. pt. „Umiędzynarodowienie polskiego szkolnictwa wyższego”.

Celem projektu jest podniesienie umiędzynarodowienia Uniwersytetu Morskiego w Gdyni poprzez opracowanie i przeprowadzenie IMPK w postaci 2 kursów specjalistycznych:

1. "Symulator Obsługi Ładunku Chemicznego i Balastu" oparty o kurs modelowy IMO 1.37 - 30h dydaktycznych, 20 uczestników, 1 ECTS
2. "Operacje ładunkowe i balastowe na zbiornikowcu do przewozu ropy naftowej i jej produktów" oparty o kurs modelowy IMO 2.06 - 30h dydaktycznych, 20 uczestników, 1 ECTS

Kursy będą oferowane w formule blended learning, zostaną przeprowadzone z wykorzystaniem symulatora LCHS . IMPK skierowane będą do 40 międzynarodowych studentów i doktorantów, którzy rozpoczną szkolenie. Zakładamy rezultat na realnym poziomie 80 % - kurs ukończy min. 32 osoby. Uczestnikami będą obcokrajowcy - studenci i doktoranci uczelni polskich i zagranicznych.

W wyniku projektu 40 obcokrajowców weźmie udział w oferowanych przez UMG IMPK. W trakcie zajęć zapozna się z ofertą kształcenia w UMG. Udział zagranicznych studentów i/lub doktorantów w programach kształcenia oferowanych przez UMG podniesie się o 40 osób. Projekt przyczyni się do poszerzenia oferty IMPK realizowanych w UMG, kursy będą mogły trafić do stałej oferty UMG. W wyniku promocji IMPK nawiążemy współpracę z potencjalnymi kandydatami, ze względu na zastosowany rodzaj promocji - kampania w mediach społecznościowych będzie to relacja długofalowa, umożliwiająca zapoznanie z międzynarodową ofertą UMG.
