Contribution of the GMU:

• Work Package 2: Improving weather forecast for ship WR
  • Participation in designing and implementing a library for providing NOAA ensemble forecasts to the system.
     
• Work Package 3: Ship motions and performance criteria
  • Participation in designing and testing of a ship model library.
     
• Work Package 4: Implementing a multi-objective WR method
  • Designing and implementing elements of the system including fetching input data, system data storage and data transmission between on-board client and on-site server engine, among others. 
     
• Work Package 5: Prototype system in lab environment
  • Participation in designing, development and testing of on-site server tool (WR Server) and on-board client application (WR Client).
     
• Work Package 6: In service experience
  • Remote on-board installation of WR_Client software.
  • Remote control and management of the WR_Client software tool as well as on-site WR_Server application.
     
• Work Package 7: Result dissemination
  • Participation in preparing of the project’s research papers and conference presentations.

• Work Package 8: Coordination and Administration
  • For Polish consortium: distribution of work among partners, coordination of tasks, monitoring the progress and taking the mitigation measures once the chances for delay are noticed.
  • Continuous coordination and execution of the project, related to co-operation within Polish and international consortium, scientific achievements and budget.
  • Coordination between Polish consortium members and national funding body (NCBiR).
